What’s the difference between a bookkeeper and an accountant?

 

A bookkeeper handles the day to day accounting transactions in a business including writing checks, invoicing, bank and credit card reconciliation, payroll, filling Federal and State Payroll tax returns and providing you with financial statements.

 

An Accountant takes this formal information to prepare and file your yearly tax returns. It is imperative that all businesses retain an accountant; we will work with them and record all transactions according to their specifications. This way, your year end will take your accountant less time to file and will save you money. 

 

How long will it take you to do my bookkeeping?

 

Although we can give you an estimate of the amount of time it will take to complete your bookkeeping needs based on information you provide; this will be better determined when we are able to review in person what the workload will entail.

 

 

Will I always have the same bookkeeper?

 

Yes.  Your bookkeeper never changes.  You will get the same bookkeeper each time you have a scheduled appointment. 

 

What software do you use?

 

QuickBooks is what we use for the majority of our clients. However, we are versatile and open to learning new programs based on your needs.

 

Will you file our taxes for us?

 

We file State and Federal payroll taxes and State Sales Tax only. We also have a resource of qualified CPA’s to handle your year end taxes if you do not have one.
